I’ve already set up some nanoblogger sites but would like to know how to modify my settings to avoid the footprint you mentioned in your post.

Do you offer your Wordpress Thesis Nanoblogger builder as a separate product for people who already own Thesis?

I know Peter is not concerned in terms of Google finding footprints because we are doing nothing blackhat. But I guess we don’t want others checking out our NB sites unnecessarily right?

I confirmed with Host Blue. the format used by hostgator appears to be the same for host blue.

Hi Ramon,

Your understanding is correct. By stand alone I mean the files associated with your domain are in the public_html directory. Addon domains are typically in the public_html/addon.com/ subdirectory.

I’m working on modifying the Wordpress builder to handle addon domains.

Can you confirm for me if host blue uses a public_html/addon.com/ directory structure? I’m working under the assumption that host blue uses cPanel?

I’ll update if/when I have this working for addon domains.

EDIT: Wordpress builder now works with addon domains that follow the public_html/addon.com/ format. I verfied this with Hostgator. Not sure what the format is for host blue.

Hello Dave.
I would like to use your services, but the stand alone domain caused me to shoot this e-mail for clarification. I have a hosting acct with host blue and any domain that I host with them would be an add on domain, therefore, your process can’t be used. I would need to start a new hosting account? Is this what you mean by stand alone domain?

Please let me know. I’m really interested in using your installation service.

I can find a lot of sites setup in the nanoblogger fashion with an advanced Google search. The instructions on page 56 leave a footprint.
